Research meeting in Miyzaki

I got a third occasion to visit Miyazaki- Pref last week as to join in a research meeting for general education in universities, Kyushu area. There are some sessions discussing on cases about what to do and how to do in class nowadays. Much of exciting presentation with inspirations are there, I think it is cause of every presenter showed their polished inventions on how to fascinate students in front of.
"Good teacher behaves as a entertainer" is a word of Tsuyoshi Mori, my master in mind. I always remind it when I plan to arrange programs of class or sessions wishing many of audiences feel nice to join in the class attaining new insight. But I don't think the vision is achieved yet.
Study more, think more! The point in invention is left in further try-and-error.

Political Option we get!

DPJ won the election yesterday, it is said as a historical victory of them. It means that we citizen attain a option to choose political power desirable for present social condition. No option we use to have, it was an anomaly political condition from developed country standard. In that sence, Japan has achieved that standard finally.
In the other side of the triumph, unexpected defeat are there. The election this time, a change in regime has been anticipated, and DPJ was considered to be in unfavorable situation to win it. I felt to support Taro Aso from Hangan-Biiki point of view. (Hangan-Biiki mean to support a person who are in weak state.) But regretfully, the result we face was realized.
A strong power is not ever, just like dust blown in the wind. May the huge victory not be the origin of arrogance and insolence.

Matsutake night

At a dinner in my parent-in-law's house, I enjoyed autumn flavor Matsutake in Dobinmushi and delicious Sukiyaki. They reminded me that season is at point of change. Father-in-law said that he used to eat them in these ways when he was young in past time. The cuisine above are traditional Japanese way to entertain us with the sweet-smelling mushrooms. These years, many of them are mainly imported from China, and maybe from North Korea indirectly. It is said that cause of dilapidation of country side landscape "Satoyama" in three decade as a result of imprudent development of decision of ourselves. Despite, people too much care about products are domestic goods or not, but I suppose that is nonsense. We should thank for nature's giving and feel an atmosphere where they are fostered with sweet raindrops with Wabi-Sabi spirits.

Basketball in air-conditioning gym?

Six seasons of my basketball play has been passed. Now I play it on Tuesday 20:00-22:00 every week with about 15 members. It is a ball game of tough and devotion needed, so I can not think of anything but how I can play best. The time gives me an occasion to concentrate on without everyday routine work.
Last night, I came to the gym and play it as usual, the temperature and humidity seem the highest this summer drenched me with full of sweat beyond strange. The court was just like huge sauna bath. A member of the group had played it in his university days said that full of air conditioning installed in almost of all university gyms in U.S., I think of it as a bad joke of him. I suppose it symbolizes the Energy Consumption states of America.

We won the games!

I proudly report that our team won the the basketball tournament in our campus. It was tough games, because everybody aims to get the best prize. Even if it is a small tournament, becoming a winner feels me some special pleasures. I honestly thank my team mates, and I appreciate them to bring me to the stage.

Today I'm joining in basketball games in the campus. 14 teams register, include exchange students. Our two games has been over for qualifying round. I got just one 3 point shoot, and one mistake on pass. Tough and hot minutes are there. The final tournament will start after 1 pm, so I should go.

Takoyaki ; Octopus Ball

When you visite Japan in near future, you should try Takoyaki that is ball style, some octopus pieces inside, hot fastfood which traditionally spread from OSAKA to country wide. You will eat them with some sweet soysorce, green laver and pieces of dried bonito. Basically, you can get it at Takoyaki shops thereabout. But many guys who grew up in Osaka culture prepare Takoyaki skillets to cook Takoyaki by themself at lease two times in a month. So, if you get some occation to homestay there, why don't you suggest host familly to cook it together in their dinning or Garden BBQ.

Sound of Creek

Under the strong sunshine these days only, we can perceive a message from creek which make us feeling so cool. This is a creek in Ohmine area, Nishiyoshino, Nara Pref., Japan. Fishes like brook trout and so on, there. Cause of cool water, we could hardly stay there only few muinites.
According to Japanese original calender, Autumn starts from 8th-Aug already, so we descrive this hot atmospher like "Zansho" -the late summer heat-. Wish you feel some cool air and ride out hard summer with this movie.

Visit Mt. Koya

Mt. Koya "Koya-san" is a buddism place of Shingonshu in Wakayama pref., Japan. Founder Kukai opened here as a base of his religious activity in 816, approximately 1200 years ago. It was after his austerities in Japan and China, Kukai was approved to do so from Emperor-Saga. Cause of inconvinient plase, constracting operation was hardly progressed. Once here was getting ruined, but it reconstructed after 1016, depends on contribution from Imperial and many powerful families.

We can find tombs a lot along to approch road to Okunoin temple as long as 2,000m. Some of them are indivisual owns, but others are companies as organization's. I think it is very curious, because I suppose mouring should be a ceremony among family. But a fact I saw in Mt. Koya is a symbolic way of thinking of Japanese management on corporations as common illusion. It is just like "colleague is family".

I felt not only a solemn and tense atmosphere there, but also refleshing blew passed through ancient trees. I don't know, but it realy was. I am able to really recomend you to visit there. You must feel something different from Kyoto and Nara area.

about learning

The fact that we need to face to is complicated condition and relations among several factors of this society. We are willing to learn something advanced and specific knowledge as a majer in University or somewhere educational institutions. I admire that there are some meanings. But more over that, we should forcus on building up ability to learn brandnew knowledge continuously over several years. Because, a leading edge technology you learned in university is fated to obsolete in few years by all means. The critical factor that lead us to sucess must be how much we master many basic knowledges and acquire a habit to think of incredulously in all occations. And prerequisite them, we should try to be a person with creative mind and pioneer spirits. In computerlized era, gathering information is a role of machines, human brain can not accumlate data more than them. But, our our conpetitiveness is to create and synthesize intelligences. That is a solo value of human being themself in recent time. Do not compete with computer, but be creative for now and future!

big fish has come!

What I got from my firend was three big fish which was taken at Genkainada in south west part of Japan sea.
The name of the fish was Hiramasa, Goldstriped amberjack in English.
I cleaned them to Sashimi and Osuimono soup, and kept rest of them for breakfast.
Big thanks should be said for my colleague with expectation to next occation.

DaVinci's Annunciation

It was a greate experience that I saw the "Annunciation"
which was drawn by Leonaldo Da Vinci when he was
24-years-old.
The drawing is shown at National museum in Tokyo.

What I moved was the excellence of drawing technique
to draw natural vegitation, especially about lilly,
which is the symbol of the Virgin Mary.

This year, we enjoy the friendship year between
Japan and Italy. This exhibition is carried out
to celebrate this relationship.
